Vintage Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Dish with shell handles. This "Georg Jensen silver dish" weighs 86.25 grams and measures 5 and one eighths inches widest at the handles and stands 7 eighths inches high. The Georg Jensen stamp on the bottom can be seen in one of the accompanying photographs.

London sterling silver fish server c1781 to 1782

London sterling silver fish server c1781 to 1782. Period English sterling silver fish server with bight cut open work design depicting a fish surrounded by acorns and leaves. The workmanship on this piece was obviously done by a master silver smith. We can tell by the date marks that it dates from 1781 to 1782 but we are not sure of the maker. This fish server measures 12 and one half inches long and weighs 237 grams of silver.

Silver plated water set c1880. We have in our library a hardbound jeweler's catalogue published in 1896. In it, we found several similar sets, priced between $32.00 and $50.00.That seems cheap now, but it was a substantial amount of money at the time. The more expensive models were elaborately modeled and engraved, and featured 2 cups. They were used in bedrooms.

Shreve and Co. Sterling silver tea set c1940. This five piece sterling silver tea set was made by Shreve Co. of San Franciso. Plain design with Gadroon engraved rim and base.The coffee pot measures 10 and one half inches high, the tea pot meaures 8 and one half inches high, the covered sugar bowl measures 6 and one quarter inches high,creamer pitcher measures 4 and three quarter inches high and the waste bowl measures 4 and one quarter inches high.
