Wallace sterling silver vanity set in five pieces, This five piece "Wallace sterling silver" vanity set is from the Art Deco period and is in excellent condition. The mirror has a beveled glass mirror. The sterling silver is a heavy gauge and measures 15 inches long,the brush 10 and one quarter, the comb 7 and one half,shoe horn 9 inches and the file is 8 inches. Each piece in this set has the lovely Art Deco design turned end design.

The Alvin Mfg Co was in Providence Rhode Island and now functions as a division of Gorham Silver Co. See American Silver Manufacturers by Dorothy T. Rainwater page13 for more information on the company. This hand mirror measures 9 inches long.

Early Georg Jensen Cactus bottle sterling opener, This Denmark Georg Jensen Sterling silver bottle opener is in the "Cactus" pattern and measures 4 and one half inches long. Very good condition with out any dents or repairs. Some wear to the stainless bottle opener.

Vanderbilt Cup Racing Trophy won by Locomobile Co. 1908

Vanderbilt Cup racing trophy won by Locomobile Company, 1908. These smaller trophies are quite rare. The Locomobile was the first American car to win an International race in 1908 and the company based in Bridgeport CT had reception where these small trophies were given out to commemorate the event and in 1909 the company used this trophy as a mascot for their car radiators. By 1910 the Locomobile company had given up completely on entering automobile races . This automobile memorabilia piece measures 4 and one quarter inches high and made by the Forbes Silver Company in quadruple plated silver.
