Antique American coin silver teapot By J L W Item # 1546 Teapots,Antique silver,Antique American coin silver. American coin or sterling silver teapot by John L Westervell in a wonderful pattern depicting flowers and leaves. Exquisite hand work.This silver teapot was hand made between C1840 and 1845 and is an excellent example of American silver work at its best during the 19th century. The silver teapot measures 12 and one haf inches high. It is hall marked Wendell and Feltman J.L.W. Albany. The monogram is a lightly engraved and looks like A L. This teapot would have been part of a larger sterling or coin silver tea service consisting of a tray, sugar and creamer, a coffee pot, waste bowl and in some cases, a spooner. Antique sterling silver Atlantic Yacht Trophy Item # 1600 "Yachting trophy" Antique sterling Silver yachting trophy.English sterling silver yachting trophy engraved Eleventh Annual Regatta of the Atlantic Yacht Club June 6 1876 MADCAP. This yachting trophy was made by Starr and Marcus, Theodore B Starr and Herman Marcus in New York which latter became Theodore B. Starr. It is stamped Starr and Marcus New York English Sterling 343 on its base. It measures 7 inches high and 10 inches across. There is still a nice trace of the gold vermeil on its inside. The aesthetic movement design along the rim depicts birds,butterflies,the mid base has a shell pattern and the base has a flower and spade design. It is marked Tiffany and Co 8006 m 1853 Sterling. It has a wonderful pierced flair to its rim. It measures 3 inches high and 5 inches across.
