This "Royal Danish Sterling silver" piece measures 8 and and one half inches long by 4 and 5/8 inches wide by 2 and and one half inches deep weighs 247 grams.It is hallmarked Royal Danish USA G 23-2 International sterling. It could use polishing it just came in from a local Connecticut estate.

Rare Mixed metal sterling silver melon fork knife

RARE ! Antique mixed metal sterling silver melon knife and fork combination. This Victorian sterling silver mixed metal fork and knife has it original gold plate along with a mixed metal floral and leaf design. This piece was the hall mark of T. Evans & Co. From New York New York.Theodore Evans was the son of Henry Evans. He succeeded his father as Evans & Anderson(1864 to 1866)The mixed metal has both the quality and look of some the Gorham and Tiffany pieces I have seen. To see and example of this hallmark go to Encycolpedia of American Manufacturers by Dorothy T. Rainwater page 57.This piece measures 6 and and one quarter inches long and weights 29 grams.
